Sapna Bassi
Holistic Counsellor
Counselling is the foundation of my practice. My approach is gentle, grounded, and holistic, rooted in trauma-informed care. I draw from emotion-focused, feminist, client-centred, and anti-colonial frameworks, alongside EMDR therapy, to create a space where people feel seen, safe, and supported. I work at a pace that honours each person’s nervous system, lived experience, and capacity for healing.
Alongside counselling, Sapphire Wellness offers wellness-focused experiences for those who feel called to explore healing beyond one-to-one sessions. These offerings include wellness circles, workshops, and intuitive practices such as tarot, held in intentionally designed wellness spaces that emphasize reflection, creativity, and connection with nature. They acknowledge that growth often continues through shared experience, embodied exploration, and moments of pause outside the counselling process.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Addictions and Mental Health, and certification in EMDR therapy. My work is informed by both professional training and years of practice within diverse community and wellness settings.
I was born and raised in Punjab, India, and had the opportunity to study and live in different parts of the country, learning from diverse cultures and communities. With a Punjabi father and a mother born and raised in Myanmar, I grew up immersed in two rich cultural worlds. My parents raised me with values of kindness, respect, and honouring all cultures and religions — values that continue to guide how I show up as a counsellor today.
I strive to offer culturally responsive and inclusive care to clients from diverse backgrounds. By providing counselling in Hindi, Punjabi, and English, I aim to reduce language barriers and create accessible, welcoming support. Guided by a deep belief in healing and wholeness, my work is centred on walking alongside clients as they reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and move toward greater balance and well-being.
